The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples’ (CAP) National Youth Council (NYC) is a group of provincial youth representatives from across Canada who advocate on behalf of the concerns and interests of off-reserve Aboriginal youth at the national level. The Youth Council communicates on a regular basis and discusses issues and solutions to socioeconomic factors affecting the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada. The NYC is made up of one voting member from each Provincial Territorial Organization (PTO) affiliate, a national youth representative who is a voting member of the CAP Board of Directors and a Steering Committee which helps support the national youth representative and NYC.
