Federal Issues

One of the primary responsibilities of CAP is to represent the national issues of its constituency by lobbying the federal government and its many departments on behalf of its  provincial affiliates and constituents.. This activity includes meetings with the Prime Minister, various Ministers of State, and senior beaurocrats to ensure Metis and off-reserve Aboriginal peoples are included in federal initiatives relaled to Aboriginal peoples in Canada.  One of the results of this activity is the Political Accord presented at this link, which is designed to operate as a kind of framework for federal/CAP interaction.
