The Daniels Decision

The Daniels Decision marks the beginning of a new era for Indigenous peoples. It is the the culmination of a 17-year long legal battle between the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples (CAP) and the Government of Canada, which finally has made it clear that the Federal Government is legally accountable for Métis and Non-Status Indian interests. The greatest opportunity for change in the history of Métis and Non-Status Indians is right in front of us and we can’t miss it. CAP has designed a booklet to inform its constituency and Indigenous peoples in general about the importance of this case.
