Criteria
L'adhésion à l'A.A.Q. est ouverte à tous les autochtones,
métis, indiens sans statuts ou indiens statués (projet de
loi C-31) vivant hors réserve au Québec qui répondent
aux critères suivants:
être d'ascendance amérindienne (identité)
s'identifier comme telle (fierté)
être accepté par la communauté (appartenance)
Si vous souhaitez devenir membre de l'A.A.Q., vous devez vous présenter
à une assemblée locale pour en faire la demande. Seules
les personnes vivant en milieu isolé peuvent le faire par correspondance
au bureau provincial ou à un de nos bureaux régionaux.
Vous devez également fournir la documentation généalogique
qui prouve votre ascendance autochtone. Pour en savoir davantage sur

The N.A.Q.'s membership is open to all persons of aboriginal ancestry
be it Metis, Status Indians (C-31), Non Status Indians living off-reserve
in Quebec which meet the following criteria:
You must be of aboriginal ancestry (identity)
You must self-identify as an aboriginal person (pride)
You must be accepted by your community (belonging)
To become a member of the N.A.Q., you must
attend a meeting of your local N.A.Q. community where you will be provided
with the necessary documentation to apply. Persons residing in isolated
areas may apply by mail directly to our Headquarters or to one of our
Regional Offices.
You must also provide documented genealogical proof of your aboriginal
ancestry. You must clearly show how you are directly related to a person
who is qualified as an Aboriginal individual. If you would like to know
