National Youth Council Representation at PTO AGAs
Whereas the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples’ National Youth Council (CAPNYC) elects a National Youth Representative (NYR) and steering Committee (SC) to represent the interest of the youth constituency on a National level;
And whereas the CAPNYC does not have the capacity to consult, in person, with Aboriginal youth throughout Canada, which is an essential component of effective representation;
Therefore, be it resolved that- as a first step – CAP begin to send to NYR or a member of the SC to PTO Annual General Assemblies or Youth General Assemblies where an invitation from the PTO has been issued.
